    The above words have been used to present the Trango 2008 Expedition!

    These is a truly European expedition composed by the British Gaz Parry and Jerry Gore, the French Denis Roy and Pierre Muller and the Polish David Kaslikowski and Eliza Kubaska.

    On the 20th of July the German Ines Papert managed the first femal free ascent of the route Camillotto Pellesier on the north face of the Cima Grande di Lavaredo (Italy). The first ascent was doe by da E. Mauro e M. Minuzzo in 1967, while Mauro Bubu Bole managed the first free ascet in 2004, suggesting 8b.

    And here we go with a new adventure from a group of climbers of the Ragni di Lecco team, always looking for new challenges, sometime out of the mainstream!

    This news presents the first of a series of light expeditions* managed in order to celebrate the 60 years of history of Ragni di Lecco. For this purpose a team of young climbers of the group has declared the intention to do, during 2006 and beginning of 2007, a series of short (lasting just from 2 weeks to a maximum of 6 weekss) light expedition in different places of the world.
    The names of the members of the team are well known: Simone Pedeferri together with Adriano Selva, Matteo Della Bordella, Marco Vago, Matteo Bernasconi, Giovanni Ongaro, Fabio Palma, Andrea Pavan, Paolo Spreafico.

    A first example has been the route recently opened by Pedeferri and Vago in Morocco.

    These light expeditions aim to travel and explore several countries and continents with the objective of climbing several walls with "style", combining technique with an an adventurous spirit.

    The French climber and alpinist Jean-Christophe Lafaille is still missing on Makalu, unluckily the helicopter saw is tent but no signs of Christophe between the high camp (7600m) and the summit.

    Apparently, Lafaille’s team has given up all hope to find Jean Christophe alive.

    Mr Manfred Stuffer is back on rock and as usual, to surprise us!

    Better known to the crowd for his first ascent of Underground (8c+/9a a Massone/Arco), he has already done some "creative" stuff with climbing shoes, no rope, mountain bike and sledge!

    ....and how you will discover, after a couple of years of siesta he is back!
