On the 29th of june 2006 in the middle of the summer Matthias Trottmann
managed to realize his great project: to "climb up the Fürenwand
" in a single push. He redpointetd every pitch in one day.
Matthias equipped the route in a great adventurous style during 2005 and started to practice for the redpoint ascent on sunny days during the freezing January.
To climb between the icicles and watch them falling down, down, down...was exciting.
The project emerged as one of the hardest and most overhanging alpin sportclimbing route in Switzerland.
The 600m high Fürenwand is located in one of the most impressive Alpine landscape of Switzerland.
The marvelous mountain Titlis (3238m) is always watching majetsically from the other side of the valley.
Matthias said: "I'm wondering who'll bet he next to adventure this wall."
